The Grandmaster is a movie directed by Wong Kar-wai, a Chinese movie director whom my Video I professor highly recommended. I watched this movie during the summer back in China and was mesmerized by its beautiful cinematography, deep dialogue, and delicate demonstration of the intricate interpersonal relationships among its major characters.
Although the dialogues of the movie might lose some authenticity after translation, I still recommend this movie for its cinematography. The details in the slow-motion fight scenes in the rain were nicely captured and presented in a way that I have never seen in other fight scenes.
