Called #FridayNightSketch, free design workshops are being held in Kensington, London at the Design Museum. Every workshop is lead by a professional artist/illustrator and people of all capabilities are invited to attend. I really enjoyed reading about this project because it speaks to the idea of public art. After visiting the Cherry Street Pier and seeing all the artists showcasing their pieces to the public for free, my perspective on an artist’s purpose shifted and I gained greater appreciation for their work.
