Art therapy is known for being a good for one’s mental health, but it also has benefits for one’s physical health. Art therapy is good for patients with diabetes, chronic illnesses, and patients in palliative care. It has been noted that looking at art increases the cortisol and serotonin hormones, these results are very similar to the effect of exercise. Some museums even have art therapist on staff, to facilitate different forms of treatment.
