After just moving into an apartment building, I face the awkward elevator ride at least twice a day. The darting eye contact, crammed space, and countless stops on the way to class is an incredibly poor experience. After reading an article by Michael Eisenberg, where he discusses how elevators need a design reboot, this got me thinking about how we can actually make the experience better. Implementing design to the physical world and user experience intrigues me. How would you make the elevator better? Larger spaces? Single unit chutes? Would love to hear your thoughts
